Team Katie once again showed up in a big way, this time for the 53rd Falmouth Road Race, with 16 runners for Team Katie’s Cure raising $35k for Compassionate Care ALS.
Behind the scenes, Team Katie also raised $14k for Katie and her family directly, selling parking spots at the finish line home of Team Katie’s Pretty Patty’s house, and with a raffle basket valued at over $1,800 in gift certificates and swag from Falmouth businesses (thank you Lauren and Pretty Patty!!)
The big news is that Katie ran her 16th Road Race with Jim Bruce pushing her through the course. It was a hot one this year, but we listened to Taylor Swift, took in the beautiful views and came together once again to say “END ALS.”
The Katie’s Cure team also enjoyed a pre-race dinner at the Sea Crest courtesy of CCALS, meeting other families battling ALS and being able to support CCALS as they support so many.
Thank you to CCALS and all the generous donors for everything they do for Katie!
